The women's Frye Carmen Harness Boot - somehow simply writing about the boot itself doesn't quite give it the justice it deserves! This boot for ladies is absolutely lovely, with an unquestionable feminine style - and the bold look of a harness.
I first noticed this boot's appearance among the women's Frye lineup just recently, and immediately it struck me due to its unique appearance. As the name implies, yes, it is a harness boot. But the harness strap style is not typical - rather than having a smooth leather strap it appears almost has someone has "swooped" a ribbon about the ankle area of the boot. It bears a heel of about 2 1/2" - obviously the height of a women's boot, but with a look that still speaks "comfort".
Who would love the Frye Carmen Harness: All sorts of women I believe would take one look at this boot and heave a sigh. It is perfect for those ladies who love a western style boot, but would also be loved by those who have never worn a "cowboy" style in their life. It really is a boot that practically any woman would love.
Versions of the Carmen Harness: There are two heights for the boot, including a "short" (calf-high) and a "tall" (coming up just below the knee). The shorter of the two would look fabulous with not only jeans or pants, but with dresses as well - especially a dress or skirt coming up above the knee. The taller is a more traditional version, but with the same basic style.
For those ladies who are seeking a boot that would look great with western attire - or just about anything, I highly recommend checking out the Frye Carmen Harness for women!
